Description
Shearwater, an Explorer 44 trimaran design, combines comfortable 3 cabin accommodations with excellent performance.  She is fast and safe offshore capable of steady sailing speeds in the low teens.  Pushed hard, she can reach 20 knots or more under sail.  Windward performance is exceptional.  In a breeze Shearwater will sail upwind faster than many monohulls.   The deck layout is organized to facilitate sailing with one or two.  An inboard diesel engine provides ample power and range to motor through calms or adverse conditions.
 
  Shearwater's designer, Chris White, is a very experienced and successful multihull expert.  Her custom builder, Lone Star Multihulls, has a well earned reputation for quality work.  A very comfortable accommodation layout offers a spacious, totally private, aft cabin accessed from the cockpit.  Forward of the cockpit is the galley and navigation area followed by the salon, head and guest cabin.
