FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Oct. 28, 2008 – Palladium Technologies today unveiled My SiMON, a new application running on Apple's iPhone^TM and iPod Touch^TM (iTouch), which will allow users to access installed SiMON monitoring, alarm and control systems for megayachts on a convenient handheld unit.

“We hold the prestigious honor of being one of the few companies selected by Apple to develop beta software for the iPhone and iTouch,” said Mike Blake, president, Palladium Technologies. “We pooled the talents of our best minds and, in My SiMON, have created a graphically pleasing and functional application.”

Palladium engineers developed My SiMON to run as a customized application software package for the iPhone and iTouch. My SiMON works wirelessly around the yacht and dock to provide the captain and crew direct remote viewing of engines, generators, tanks, bilge levels, batteries and ship’s electrical systems. In addition, all alarms in SiMON will appear on the wireless iPhone and iTouch providing instant notifications through a visual alarm as well as an audible siren and vibration. It also provides users remote control over pumps, lights and other systems at the touch of a button on the screen.

Palladium unveiled a pre-demo of My SiMON to a select number of yacht engineers and captains at the Monaco Yacht Show in September. “Across the board the responses were, ‘WOW,’ ‘That is really cool,’ and ‘When can we get one?’ Blake noted. “I knew we had a hit when I heard the responses and saw their body language. Our integration with the Apple line of products is allowing us to take our graphical designs to a much higher level.”

Introduced by Apple in 2007, the iTouch and iPhone feature a multi-touch graphical user interface with the unique ability to reorient and resize the display from landscape to portrait as the handset is rotated. Both devices feature an elegant slim contoured design and stainless-steel casing.
