Sydney HarbourThe doors are open august 2nd through the 7th for the 40th annual Sydney International Boat Show. The Boat Show, which started in 1968, has since become very popular amongst boating and yachting enthusiasts not only in Australia, but worldwide. The boat show occupies six halls of Darling Harbour Exhibition Centre, which is situated not far away from city’s central business district. Walcon Marina was constructed especially for the event and can accommodate over three hundred boats. The boats will range from smaller boats to large yachts and even mega yachts. There will be a large variety of boats to available to see, anything from center-consoles to sport fishermen to trawlers, and yachts. All for sale, charter, or your viewing pleasure.

It was built by Jorn Utzon, a Danish architect, and it is truly one of the most distinctive and famous buildings in the world. The Harbour Sydney Bridge is the main crossing of the Sydney Harbour between the Sydney Central business district and the North Shore. In March the Sydney Bridge celebrated its 75th anniversary. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, it is the widest long-span bridge and the highest steel arch bridge in the world, with the top of the bridge standing at an astounding 134 meters above the harbour.

This year’s show is already recognized as Australia’s number one pleasure boat exhibition. One would think that a boat show would be all about boats, which it is, but there is also great entertainment and attractions for boaters and families alike.
