BUENA RACHA, is an exceptional example of the J-145 cruiser/racer delivered in July 2006 and used for limited day racing in southern California.  She was then brought to the East Coast, where she participated in the Key West feeder race, Isla Mujeres Race and the 2008, Newport Bermuda Race, placing 4^th in a very competitive class.
The J-145 is light, fast and extremely powerful.  Her hull and deck are carbon/epoxy sandwich construction, her keel is built of solid poured stainless with a lead bulb, and she has a custom kelp cutter in the leading edge of the keel.  She has a carbon spar, retractable sprit and rudder.

The interior aboard BUENA RACHA was finished to cruising yacht standards, with varnished cherry furniture and bulkheads and ultra suede upholstery.  She has a complete galley with Force 10 stove w/oven & broiler, refrigeration, deep stainless sinks and plenty of counter and cabinet space.  
  
Aft to starboard is a stateroom with double berth, hanging locker, drawer and locker stowage, and opening ports to the cockpit.  Aft to port is a full enclosed head and shower area, also with access to the storage areas aft.  To starboard, across from the galley is the navigation station that has comprehensive performance, navigation and communication gear.  
  
The main salon is forward of the galley and nav station, full width, with transom and pilot berths outboard, and a centerline teak table, still new in the box - never installed.  

Forward of the salon there is a hanging locker to starboard, and full stall shower compartment to port, with storage outboard. The bow area is detailed with sail storage bins port and starboard and a large opening hatch to the foredeck.
