Deck Equipment

This powerful Ketch Rig has Bomar furlers and Harken winches.
Ground tackle aboard "XAMURA" is heavy duty and easy to handle.
There are two large CQR anchors slung under the bow -spit. A powerful MUIR anchor windlass takes care of the heavy lifting. There are MUIR warping drums on the aft deck, and  the Harken sheet winches can be called on to help with spring lines, etc..

Electrical System

Power for the vessel is supplied by two Northern Light generators
of 33 KW and 35KW.

Guest Stateroom

All three spacious guest staterooms have their ensuite bathroom.  All are about the same size, and very generous for this size of sailing yacht.
Each guest cabin has a Pullman berth for extra guests or children, bringing the total number of berth to eleven (11). Each cabin has its own entertainment center and it is possible to fit a large flat screen TV.

Master Stateroom

The master stateroom is aft in the placeof least movement..  It has a King sized bed and identical HIS and HERS bathroom. The desk to port can double as a dressing table. It will also take charts and have a GPS and Wind Instrument repeaters. There is also a generous sofa to starboard for napping or taking a meal in the cabin. Plenty of clothes storage, and an attractive library arrangement.

Features

The pictures are of a sister ship built at BODYAT and for reference of quality workmanship. A buyer can specify his/her own interior
and hull color.

Dining

The Deck Salon is approx. 27 sq meters. The expanding dining table can comfortably take all guests if it is too cool to dine outside, or for watching a movie on the large , concealed, Flat screen TV.

Salon

The deck salon is fitted with the usual bar, drinks fridge, and ice maker, etc.. A nice feature is the excellent visibility from the deck salon.

Crew Quarters

The crew accommodations are comfortable for a total of 6 in three spacious double cabins. There is a very adequate crews mess with music and TV.

Galley

The heart of a successful cruising yacht is the galley. On 'XAMURA'  it is surprisingly large and professionally equipped, with a lift for food to the wheelhouse. 'XAMURA' is also configured to be used in the charter trade.
She is equipped with commercial washer/dryer and enough space and equipment for high quality pressing.

Engine /Mechanical Equipment

'XAMURA' is very well equipped mechanically. Caterpillar engine 3406C
diesel engine. The engine is heavy duty type, downgraded from 750 HP to 400 HP. It can run continuously at max RPM.  New, state of the art  Bruntons folding propeller. Powerful Bow thruster.  The electrical demand is supplied by two Northern Light geneators of 33 KW and 35 KW. A SaniMarine toilet system is connected to a Hamman Wassertechni sewage treatment plant.  Two Idromar water-makers have a total capacity of some 9000 ltrs. per day. Only one is needed for the ships requirements, giving good redundancy.

Electronics and Navigational Equipment

There is a full compliment of navigation electronic. Satellite radio and TV.
Full internet access, etc.. Most of the electronics, navigation and chart equipment,  as well as engine controls are  duplicated at the aft steering
station.

Aft deck

For swimming and access to the tenders and toys, 'XAMURA' has a unique bathing platform which lowers down from the deck under the transom on the center line.  There is also a traditional ship's  side companionway to starboard and a ladder fro the crew to port.

Hull

To built "XAMURA" , high tensil steel was chosen for the hull material.
The superstructure is in marine grade aluminium for light weight, strength and anti-corrosion properties.
The lead ballast is hot poured in to the heavy steel keel casing to ensure that the ballast is as low as possible, giving maximum stability.
The combination of low lead ballast, powerful rig and high tensil steel hull, guarantees that the ratio of sail area to displacement will produce
a sail boat that will perform well in all weather conditions.

Sails and Rigging

A powerful ketch rig has been chosen for ease of handling. The 1668 sq ft mainsail is set within lazy jacks, and the mizzen furls in to the boom.
It is expected that even in a strong wind, it will seldom be necessary to take more than one reef  in the main sail. The large rudder is set as far aft
as possible for maximum effect which allows the yacht to steer easily in
all conditions.
Top of the line winches and deck hardware have been installed everywhere.

Tenders

'XAMURA'   carries two (2) 4.3 meter diesel waterjet RIB's from CASTOLDI. Stowage is also available for two wet bikes. Windsurfers can be carried on the salon roof, or in the garage.
The advantage having two tenders is enormous. The crew can go to shore for supplies, etc., and the owner and his guests can be out
exploring, diving, fishing, etc.. It also affords the yacht to anchor in far off
quiet anchorages, yet have the mobility for both owner and crew.
The tenders are stored, one on the foredeck, and the other in davit aft.
Additionally, either tender qualifies as a rescue boat for MCA.
