| Grady-White Boats was founded in 1958 by Glen Grady and Don White. Eddie Smith purchased the company in 1968 and has since positioned the firm as one of the leading builders of sportfishing boats in the industry. Always located in Greenville, North Carolina, Grady-White has grown steadily over the years thanks to an excellent dealer network and an established base of repeat customers. The company hit it big back in 1974 with the introduction of the very first walkaround cabin, now a standard industry design. Since 1993, Grady-White boats over 20 feet have been built on a Hunt-designed “SeaV” hull, a variable deadrise deep-V that represents a significant performance improvement over earlier models. Best known for their series of high-quality trailerable walkarounds, 1994 saw the introduction of the company’s first big center console, and in 1998 Grady-White unveiled its largest center console to date, the 306 Bimini. Grady-White builds a full line of sportfishing boats from 18 to 36 feet in length. Not inexpensive, Grady-White products enjoy very high levels of customer satisfaction. Resale values are excellent. |
