Description
"SANDVIG" was built for the Danish Navy as a Mine Sweeper. It is the differnt woods that were used in her construction that really stand out and give her a long life. Massive curvey American Oak for her hull and frames. Massive Burmese Teak for her decks, delicate tropical hardwoods in her interior and feather-light Cedar from Lebanon for her skin. After her de-commissioning from the Danish Navy she changed hands a couple of times and she ended up in the idyllic waters of the San Antonio Bay in IBIZA. It is here where her present owners found her. After spending three long arduous years of reconstruction, she was ready to be launched in the winter of 1993 and saw her first charter in the summer of 1994. Ever since "SANDVIG" has performed flawlessly in the Mediterranean waters pleasing charterers and guests alike. She is ideally suited for a family live-aboard and or charter yacht.
